ApnaDirector ("the App", "we", "our") is a local-first AI video creator. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles and how it is used.
All of your projects, photos, scenes, and exported videos are stored only on your device. We do not maintain user accounts, and we do not upload or back up your media to any server. You can delete projects at any time from inside the App.
The App requests access to your photo library so you can select photos to use inside a video, and so it can save the final exported video back to your library. Selected photos are processed locally on your device. Photos are not transmitted to our servers.
When you describe a video in plain language (for example, "a soft romantic reel with slow zoom"), only that text description is sent to our AI service to generate a scene plan or to refine an edit. We send the minimum text required for the feature to work. We do not send your photos, your videos, your contacts, your location, or any device identifiers along with that request.
Text prompts described above are processed by OpenAI to generate the scene plan. OpenAI processes the request on our behalf as a sub-processor and is not permitted to use the content to train its models. See OpenAI's policies at openai.com/policies/api-data-usage-policies.
The App does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking identifiers. We do not build profiles of users.
The App does not require an account. There is no login, no signup, and no password.
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because all personal content stays on your device, you control it directly. Deleting a project from the App removes it from your device. Uninstalling the App removes all of its locally stored data.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
